Programs
Meet at the shelter at Sodalis. How often do we really experience the dark without artificial lights? Starting before sunset and returning after dark, we get to be more aware of the transition between day and night. All sorts of animals, from bats to raccoons to moths and owls are more active at night. Plants, insects and other animals including humans need the dark to rest and replenish themselves. Join us for a nighttime walk, making seasonal observations and enjoying the magic of the night. The full program is approximately 2 hours and covers a 2 mile paved loop with a steep incline. Participants have the option to return sooner as desired.
