Night Hike through Sodalis Nature Preserve sponsored by Hannibal BASF. “Bats Are Coming Back” 7 p.m. Aug. 23 at Sodalis Nature Preserve. Not only do birds begin migrating in August but so do the bats that overwinter in the Lime Kiln Mine at Sodalis. We’ll see if the number of bats we see at some of the mine openings has increased since the summer. The full program is about two hours and covers a 2-mile paved loop with a steep incline. Participants have the option to return sooner as desired.
